ROSIE CHEEKS

Rosie is a professional circus artist, specialising in aerial hoop. She is also experienced in aerial silks, rope, trapeze and contortion.

Coming from a musical & theatrical family, Rosie trained in dance and drama from an early age. She studied ballet, tap and modern jazz at Adele's Dance School from the age of 3, and in her teens was a member of the National Youth Theatre. At 18 she discovered her extreme flexibility during her first yoga class and henceforth determined to bend herself into increasingly extraordinary positions.

After acheiving a First in English Literature from Sussex University, she joined a Corfu-based dance troupe where a fellow dancer introduced her to acrobatics. Back in London she discovered the Dance-Based Acrobatics course at the National Centre for Circus Arts, and went on to complete her professional training, graduating with a BA in Circus Arts. in 2010.

Since being captivated by the wonderful world of circus, her skills have taken her around the globe, including Australia, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and throughout the UK. She works in a wide range of settings, from large scale corporate events, festivals, and nightclubs, to videos, children's theatres, and intimate cabarets. Highlights thus far include performing in Anna Nicole at the Royal Opera House, modelling for Stella McCartney at London Fashion Week, and sharing a stage with Lady Gaga in Delhi! .
