On the night of the 19th July A Curious Invitation will be hosting their woodland realm of voodoo in the Faraway Forest at Latitude Festival. For those urban dwellers in search of spectacle and intrigue unable to join us, we ask you to look no further than the Dark Circus party brought to you by our friends, Bourne and Hollingsworth and Torture Garden.

Bid adieu to all that is ordinary and saunter into the strange and subversive evening of twisted entertainment, inspired by the weird and wonderful extravaganza of The Circus. Cavort, romp and prance your way about the sumptuous Bloomsbury Ballroom, which will be magically transformed into a scene of theatrical fantasy for your pleasure.

Fresh from their stint at The Southbank Centre’s Udderbelly Festival, EAST END CABARET will be your hosts for the evening. This is one of their last performances in London before they make their merry way to the untamed wilds of Scotland for a series of sold out shows at the Edinburgh Festival.

Artistes also performing in the Big Top Circus Arena and Sideshow Lounge include:

Vauderville Pierrot – Le Pustra

"A stylish and chic international performance artist with a theatrical vision which evokes a decadent dreamlike world of melancholia and sepia-tinted vignettes, inspiring other artists and eccentrics alike."

Fire Burlesque – Kitty Bang Bang
"Kitty Bang Bang is the whisky-soaked, fire-breathin', chopper ridin' Princess of British Burlesque. Be it roaring onstage, breathing flames astride her custom chopper motorcycle or bursting out through her giant magazine cover in a Westwood inspired ball gown Kitty always delivers something polished, original and doubtless the evening will go with a... BANG!"

Aerial Star – Bret Pfister
"Bret Pfister is a London based aerial performer focusing on aerial hoop. He has been studying circus in different forms all his life and graduated from the National Circus School in Montreal in 2007. His sought out aerial hoop act has been featured in numerous different shows around Europe including two sell out seasons with smash hit La Clique at the London Hippodrome."

Freakshow Sideshows include:

Missy Macabre - the ultimate Fakir Fatale. She has been dubbed ‘Sideshow Royalty’ by the British press and she brings elegance to the intriguing world of Circus Sideshow and Cabaret.

JoJo Bones - stunning cabaret, variety performance artist and Drag Queen impersonator. Her jaw dropping acts include cage dancing, fire breathing, fire dancing and feather fanning.

Circus Walkabout provided by Late Night Shop Cabaret -
a London based performance collective of clowns; providing adult variety entertainment, experimental performance and cultivated cabaret acts for theatres and events across London and the UK. The Late Night Shop Cabaret ladies combine the sinister sex appeal of a succubi with a sharp-as-a-button wit in their production of underground vaudeville, subversive burlesque and funny cabaret shows.

Chiqui Love - originally from Venezuela she has been working in London for the last 3 years. She is famous for her great costumes, exotic pole dancing, and dynamic stage performances.

Plus, DJ dandies David TG, The Secretary & Lydia Darling spin Electro Swing and Big Top Party Mash-Ups to gyrate to in a wild and carefree manner.
